UPDATE: Stabbing suspect located and taken into custody

Suspect: Rosario Gutierrez, 30, Boise

Charges: Aggravated Battery (F)

Boise Police officers located Rosario Gutierrez and took him into custody.  Gutierrez is facing a felony charge of Aggravated Battery. 

Boise Police would like to thank the public and the media for calling in tips and assisting in the investigation.

Boise Police are investigating a stabbing that happened just after 3:00 pm in an alley off 11th St. between Main St. and Idaho St.

A friend of the victim transported him to the hospital with injuries that initially do not appear to be life threatening. The victim is an adult male.

Preliminary information indicates that the victim and the suspect do not know each other and the stabbing occurred after the two became involved in an altercation.

Boise Police are still investigating and have identified a suspect.  The suspect's name is Rosario Gutierrez (pictured below).
