Update: Aggravated battery suspect arrested Sunday afternoon

Suspect Chad Buchanan was taken into police custody Sunday afternoon.  After further investigation Buchanan was booked into the Ada County Jail on the charges below.

Arrested: Chad Buchanan, 40, Boise

Charges: Strangulation (Attempted) (F), Aggravated Battery (F), Resisting or obstructing officers (m)

Update:  Boise Police have located Buchanan and taken him into custody. Thank you to everyone who called in tips and helped share the message.

Boise Police are searching for a man suspected of multiple counts of aggravated battery.  Officers ask that if you see Chad Buchanan you call 911 and do not approach him.

Buchanan is wanted after an incident early this morning in the area of Fairview and Liberty when he battered one victim who is known to him. Officers have been looking for Buchanan for several hours and have followed up on multiple leads but they have been unable to locate him. Buchanan has no known address and may be homeless.  He is believed to be on foot.  Buchanan is known to be dangerous but it is unknown if he is armed.
