Officers respond to a report of a man with a gun

Arrested: Andrew Middleton, 28, Boise

Charges: FTA Warrant (F), Providing false information to police (m), Disturbing the peace (m)

At 2:47 p.m. Boise Police were called to a business on the 3500 block of Federal Way.  A man in the bathroom of the business was yelling at people to stay back and he claimed to have a gun.  Officers quickly arrived on scene and made contact with the suspect.  The store was evacuated while officers communicated with the suspect, who was initially uncooperative. A short time later officers were able to take the suspect into custody and secure the scene.  The suspect was identified as Andrew Middleton and officers did not located a weapon.  Middleton was taken to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above charges.

Officers were called to the 3500 block of W. Federal Way. due to a suspect in a bathroom who claimed to have a weapon. The store was evacuated and officers took the suspect into custody. He did not have a weapon. The investigation is ongoing and the scene is secure.
