On December 14th around 6:40 p.m. Boise Police were called about some suspicious activity at a business on the 3500 of S. Federal Way.  The business reported that two males had attempted to use fraudulent financial transactions cards to purchase gift cards.  Hours earlier Boise Police had been made aware of similar activity at other local businesses involving suspects matching the same description and vehicle description.  When officers arrived they found the suspect’s vehicle at a nearby business in the same shopping center on Federal Way.  Officers made contact with the two subjects, identified as Mohamed Kariye and Mohamed Jarato. Upon further investigation, officers learned the two suspects were in possession of multiple financial transactions cards that did not belong to them and those cards had been used to make multiple purchases in the Boise area.  The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on felony charges of grand theft, fraudulent use of a financial transaction card and burglary. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Boise Police would like to recognize the Organized Retail Crime Association of Idaho for their help in recognizing suspicious activities and reporting it to police.
