Lewd conduct suspect arrested, investigation ongoing

Arrested:  James E. Williams, 66, Boise   

Charged:  Lewd Conduct with Child Under 16 (F)

Boise Police officers responded to assist Health and Welfare personnel on Friday who were investigating reports of lewd conduct between an adult male and a juvenile female under the age of 16.  Upon investigation, Patrol officers notified BPD Special Victims Unit detectives who took over the investigation.  Evidence was found that indicated the man, identified as 66-year-old James Williams, was involved in inappropriate sexual contact with the teenaged victim within the last few months. Williams is known to the victim.  Officers made contact with the suspect on Friday evening and upon further investigation placed him under arrest.  Williams was booked into the Ada County Jail under the above charge.
