Man suspected of hitting BPD officer with his car, then fleeing arrested in Oregon

The suspect in the aggravated battery on a Boise Police officer on Wednesday morning has been located and arrested by Oregon State Police near La Grande, Oregon.  He was located at a truck stop in the area at around 2:00 a.m. local time.

Arrested: Kyler Olsen

Charges: Aggravated Battery on an Officer (F), Failure to Appear for Sexual Battery of a Minor (F)

After responding to several tips from the public and following up on leads, the U.S. Marshals Task Force, made up of local law enforcement officers and federal officers, located information that Olsen was possibly in the La Grande area.  Oregon State Police was contacted to assist and a search of the area resulted in locating the suspect parked at a truck stop in the vehicle he was said to be driving.  Olsen was arrested on warrants out of Idaho and will be extradited at a later date.

Boise Police would like to thank the United States Marshals Task Force, the Oregon State Police, and the media and public for assisting in locating the suspect.
