Do you recognize this package thief? Tips to protect your mail and packages.

BPD has taken six reports since Thanksgiving regarding package theft. In at least one report, the theft was captured on video by a neighbor's home security camera. The theft happened on 11/27/18 on W. Warren Street.  The video shows a female suspect riding her bike up to the neighbor’s front door where she picks up a package and rides away. The six recent thefts are not limited to one area of town.  Please take the following steps to protect your mail and packages.

•         Track your packages and shipments

•         If you can’t be home, have your package delivered to your work, a friend’s house or ask a neighbor to pick it up. 

•         Be aware of suspicious activity in your neighborhood. Look for strange vehicles and individuals.  Call 208-377-6790 or 208-343-COPS to report suspicious activity.
