Neighborhood concerns lead to felony drug arrest after search warrant served at Boise home

Arrested:  Jonathan M. Vida, 35, Boise   

Charged:  Possession of a Controlled Substance- Two Counts (F), Possession of Marijuana (m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

In response to several neighbor concerns, members of the Boise Police Neighborhood Contact Unit began investigating a home in the area of Grace Street and N. 32nd Street at the beginning of the year.  With assistance from Meridian Police, felony drug arrestBPD Officers investigated the residence for two months before forwarding reports onto the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office.  A search warrant was issued for the residence last week and officers executed that warrant on Thursday morning.  The search resulted in the location of several controlled substances including heroin, meth, illicit prescription pills, and marijuana, as well as assorted drug paraphernalia items.  Officers placed one resident of the home, identified as Vida, under arrest on felony drug charges.  Charges against another resident are being forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.
