BPD Watch Log: BPD arrests stabbing suspect after early morning attack; Motorcycle rider injured in Saturday crash

Arrested: Raymond Ranson, 43, Boise

Charge: Aggravated Battery (F)

At 5:53 this morning Boise Police were dispatched to the 500 block of 13th Street for a report of  a stabbing. Upon arrival officers located the suspect and detained him without incident.  Officers and Ada County Paramedics also assisted the victim who had received a stab wound to the head.  The victim was taken to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.  Officers recovered a knife on the scene and it was booked into evidence.  Upon investigation, the suspect, identified as Raymond Ranson, was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.   


Charge are pending against a driver involved in a crash with a motorcycle on Saturday.  The crash happened around 1:30 pm at the intersection of Rose Hill and Roosevelt.  The driver of a Subaru Impreza, a 31-year-old adult female, was traveling east on Rose Hill when she collided with a motorcycle traveling south on Roosevelt.  A preliminary investigation showed the driver of the Subaru ran a red light and the motorcycle had the right of way. The motorcycle rider, an adult male, received life-threatening injuries but at last check he was expected to survive and is in stable condition.  Boise Police detectives are investigating the crash and the report has been sent to the prosecutor for a review of the charges.
