At 6:47 p.m. Boise police responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian crash near S. Maple Grove and W. Brookview Ct.  Witnesses say an older white pickup truck was traveling southbound on Maple Grove when the driver left the roadway and struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk.  Sadly, the pedestrian died on the scene.  The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with police and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.  The crash investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.  Maple Grove is closed in both directions and Idaho Power has been called because of a downed power line.
