BPD investigates fatal motorcycle vs vehicle crash on State Street

The Boise Police Department is investigating a vehicle vs motorcycle crash on State St. west of Glenwood St. The motorcycle rider was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced deceased at the scene.  State Street is open to through traffic at this time. The investigation remains ongoing

What happened: Officers were called to the scene of the crash at 4:17 p.m. Preliminary information shows the motorcycle and the other vehicle were both traveling westbound when the motorcyclist attempted to pass on the right in the bike lane as the other vehicle made a right turn into the driveway of a business.  The motorcycle rider received fatal injuries. The man's identity will be released by the Ada County Coroner once proper notifications have been made. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
