Boise Police looking for suspects after aggravated assault and battery

Boise Police are investigating an aggravated assault and battery that happened just after 2:00 am on June 14th.  Police responded to the scene near W. Emerald St. and N. Camelot Dr. and immediately began an investigation but were unable to locate the suspects or their vehicle.  The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries and released.

What happened: Three unknown suspects flagged down the victim’s car, then when the victim stopped and got out of his car, the suspects physically assaulted him and brandished a knife. The suspects also made statements about the victim’s national origin.  As part of the investigation, detectives are considering the possibility that this is a hate bias crime.

Suspect description: The victim described the suspects as three Hispanic males driving a red truck.

Anyone with information about this incident or the suspects is asked to contact non-emergency dispatch at 377-6790 or Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS (2677),, or leave a tip using the “P3 Tips” app for your mobile device.
