Over the last two days Boise Police have found almost two dozen people trespassing on Alto Via Ct. Barricades clearly show the road is closed and the nearby homes are marked with no trespassing signs because of a continuing land slide that has created large crevices in the ground and caused structural damage to the homes. Boise Police are taking a zero tolerance stance toward anyone trespassing, vandalizing and burglarizing the properties on Alto Via Ct.
On Tuesday, 6/27 at 10:00 pm, Boise police were called about several subjects on the balcony of a home marked with no trespassing signs on Alto Via Ct. When officers arrived they located two suspects, ages 20 and 21, who were cited for trespassing. Four other suspects, all 18-years-old, fled when officers arrived. Police were able to identify those suspects and cite them for trespassing on 6/28.
On Wednesday, 6/28 at 9:30 am, Boise police made contact with two people, ages 25 and 27, in a vehicle who were trespassing on Alto Via Ct. Officers witnessed drug paraphernalia in plain view and after an investigation also found a substance that tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine. They were arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail.
On Wednesday, 6/28 from 8 pm to 1 am, officers cited 12 suspects for trespassing. Those suspects ranged in age from 15 to 50.
While officers were in the area last night they could hear loud noises in the homes as the structures continued to shift and break apart. Officers will continue to patrol the area of Alto Via Ct. and surveillance cameras are also in place. The public is reminded to not pass beyond the road closed signs, the area is not safe and people who venture onto private property could be charged.
