Officers investigating reports of shots fired

Boise Police officers responded to a report of shots fired in a parking lot near the intersection of 6th Street and Grove Street at 2:08 a.m. on Friday morning.  Witness reports indicate a male adult fired several shots from a handgun into the air before getting into the passenger seat of an SUV, which then drove away.  No one appeared to be injured from the shots fired.  The man is described as being a black male wearing dark clothing.  He entered an SUV possibly occupied by 2-3 other black male adults.  The SUV then left the area in an undetermined direction of travel.  Officers conducted an extensive area search but the vehicle was not located.  The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
