Search for a wanted suspect ends with arrest

 Arrested: Jacob Taylor, 35, Boise

Charges: Resisting and Obstructing (m), Idaho Dept. of Corrections warrant, Failure to appear (m)

At 7:59 a.m. Boise Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Fairview Ave. to check for a subject wanted on a warrant. When police arrived the subject attempted to flee by climbing across hotel room balconies that were several stories up. Based on the suspects criminal history, officers knew the suspect could be armed. Officers worked with hotel staff to evacuate rooms on the 6th and 7th floor and the suspect was contained to an unoccupied room.  Negotiators were called in to speak with the suspect and they were able to get him to peacefully surrender.  The suspect, Jacob Taylor, was taken into custody at 12:47 pm and transported to the Ada County Jail where he was booked on the above charges.  The suspect did not have a weapon in his possession when he was arrested.
