Another charge filed against Mountain Home man for separate Boise bank robbery in October

Following a detailed investigation, Boise Police detectives have filed another charge against 45-year-old Eric Weigle, of Mountain Home, for the robbery of a Boise bank on the 6700 block of Overland Road on October 27th.  Weigle is currently in custody for a separate bank robbery which occurred at a different Boise bank on Orchard Street on October 5th.  He was arrested for that robbery in Mountain Home on November 4th.  Please refer to the Ada County Court schedule for further details.

Officers investigate bank robbery; Recognize this man? Call Crime Stoppers

Boise Police officers are investigating a report of an armed robbery at a bank on the 6700 block of Overland Road at approximately 5:16 p.m.

Reports indicate an adult male entered the bank and demanded money, and got away with an undisclosed amount. He was last seen fleeing on foot southbound from the bank.

Call Crime Stoppers:  If anyone recognizes the male suspect, or has any information about the robbery, they are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.

Suspect arrested in October bank robbery

Arrested: Eric Weigle, 45, Mountain Home

Charge: Robbery (F)

Boise Police arrested Eric Weigle Thursday in connection with a bank robbery on October 5th on Orchard.  Boise Police received numerous tips from the public and Ada County dispatch fielded several calls with information that helped police identify the suspect. After an investigation, a warrant was issued for Weigle’s arrest. November 3rd, around 12:00 p.m., Boise Police Neighborhood Contact Officers along with the US Marshals Task Force, The Ada County ACTION Team and Mountain Home Police Department arrested Weigle at a home on the 700 block of West 8th St. South in Mountain Home. Weigle was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Elmore County Jail.
