Officers respond to report of armed robbery, investigation ongoing

Boise Police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery which reportedly occurred on the Greenbelt near Riverstone Lane just before 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday.  Reports indicate an adult male was jogging when he was approached by an unknown man who demanded his valuables.  The man then allegedly brandished a sharp weapon and cut the male victim when he refused to give up his possessions.  The suspect then grabbed multiple items from the victim before fleeing the area on foot.  The victim went to a nearby business which was open, and employees called dispatch.  Officers conducted an extensive area search, but the suspect was not located.

Suspect description:  He is described as being approximately 6’0” tall, wearing dark baggy pants, a dark hooded shirt, and thick winter gloves.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Anyone with any further information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.  The investigation remains ongoing.
