No one injured in Boise train vs.vehicle crash

Boise Police officers responded to a vehicle versus train crash which happened near the intersection of Enterprise Street and Commerce Avenue at approximately 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.  

train crash 2Reports indicate the vehicle attempted to cross the train tracks at Enterprise, but failed to clear in time and was struck by the train at a low rate of speed.  The driver of the vehicle reported no injuries.  The driver was cited for failure to yield. 

Officers would like to remind drivers:

-          With busier holiday traffic, never stop on or near train tracks.

-          Always allow enough room between your vehicle and train crossings when stopped in traffic.

-          When crossing train tracks, pay attention to any signage and check for trains before crossing.
