Felony DUI Arrests; Arrest for Cocaine possession; BPD Watch Log

Arrested: Robert W. Castoro, 47, Boise

Charged:  Possession of a Controlled Substance – Cocaine (F)

Boise Police went to an East Boise home at 7:49 a.m., June 9, 2014 for follow up on an unrelated investigation. When officers arrived, they found evidence the resident, Castoro, was in possession of a small amount of a substance that field tested positive for cocaine. Officers sent their report to Ada County Prosecutors for review for possible charges. A warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest on the above charge July 24, 2014. The suspect was arrested by Boise Police shortly after midnight this morning and booked the suspect into the Ada County Jail.


Arrested: Clayton K. Eames, 28, Boise

Charged: DUI (F), Carrying a concealed weapon while under the influence (m)

Boise Police officers on patrol stopped a driver after the officers witnessed the driver run a red light at the intersection of North Maple Grove Road and West Emerald Streets Saturday, August 2 at 2:39 a.m.  An officer nearby collided with the suspect vehicle in the intersection due to the driving behavior of the suspect. When officers stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver, they could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage. A breath test resulted in .206/.187 breath alcohol content. As officers arrested the driver for DUI, they found him in possession of a concealed handgun. The suspect does not possess a concealed weapons permit. Boise Police records confirmed the suspect has two prior DUI arrests making this the 3rd DUI in 15 years and a felony.  Officers transported the suspect to the Ada County Jail for booking.


Arrested:  Levi T. Poulsen, 34, Nampa

Charged:  DUI (F)

Sunday, August 3, 2014,  shortly after 5:00 p.m., several citizens called into dispatch reporting a potential drunk driver in the area of East Bergeson Street and South Federal Way. An officer spotted a vehicle matching the description at Federal Way and Apple Street. The officer witnessed the driver repeatedly swerve in and out of the traffic lane within a very short distance of travel. The officer stopped the vehicle and could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage on the driver, identified as Poulsen.  Poulsen failed standard field sobriety tests. A breath sample resulted in a .302/.294 breath alcohol content. Officers found Poulsen had been convicted of two prior DUI charges in the last ten years, making this arrest a felony. Officers booked Poulsen into the Ada County Jail on the above charge.
