Felony DUI Arrest; Arrest in reported Sex Crime; BPD Watch Log

Arrested: Derick G. Guevara, 27, Nampa

Charged: DUI (F), Driving without privileges (m), Failure to provide proof of insurance (m)

A Boise Police officer on patrol witnessed a driver  make two improper turns onto and off of South Orchard Street early Thursday morning, August 7. Speaking with the driver, identified as Guevara, the officer could see his eyes were glassy and bloodshot  and the officer could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. The driver failed field sobriety tests. Breath alcohol content was tested with a result of .135/.133. Checking the driver’s record, officers found he has two prior DUI's from December, 2010 and February, 2012 making this his 3rd DUI in 15 years, a felony. Officer’s also found Guevara's license was suspended for infractions, and he could not provide proof of insurance.  He was booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.


Arrested: Clayton R. Howell, 21, Boise

Charged: Forcible Sexual Penetration by a Foreign Object ISC 18-6608

June 8, 2014, a sex crime was reported to Boise Police. The incident had reportedly occurred at a Boise location the day prior involving a victim and suspect known to each other. Officers investigated and forwarded their report to Ada County Prosecutors who issued a warrant for the suspect’s arrest on the above charges.  The suspect was booked into the Ada County Jail on the warrant Thursday, August 7.
