Still on the Case: Officers Continue Search for Suspects in Knife Attack from New Years, 2013

Still on the Case: A unique spin on #ThrowbackThursday, a popular social media hashtag that recalls significant moments from the past. The Boise Police Department is still on the case of a knife attack that seriously injured a man January 1, 2013. The original release from January 1, 2013 is below.

UPDATE: The victim in the attack who was most seriously injured, a young man in his early 20's has recovered but spent ten days in the ICU immediately after the attackl. He has incurred a significant amount of medical expenses during his treatment and recovery. Boise Police investigators would like to find those responsible for the attack on the young man. January 1, 2013 - Boise Police Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects involved in an overnight stabbing in downtown Boise.

What happened: At approximately 1:45 a.m. this morning, January 1st 2013, officers receive a report of a fight taking place in the area of Jefferson Street in front of the Capital building. When officers arrived, they located two adult males who tell police they had been in a physical fight with two other adult males. Both adult male victims received injuries from an edged weapon. One of the victims had what appeared to be serious injuries from the altercation, the other received what appeared to be less serious injuries. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for immediate medical attention. Detectives believe that alcohol may have been a factor in this case.

According to the victims, a verbal altercation between the four men had taken place just prior to the stabbing in the area of North 8th and West Bannock Streets. Victims tell police a foot chase between all four men took place in the area of the Capital building on Jefferson Street. The males confronted each other in the park, just south of the Capital building and the physical fight began.

Suspect descriptions:

A light skinned male wearing a black beanie style hat and a possible dark hoodie jacket with an average build.

The other male is described as a light skinned adult with no clothing description and an average build.
