Second Arrest made in stolen credit card case; Man Charged with using a piece of wood to batter victim; BPD Daily Watch Log

Arrested: Joshua D. Turcato, 34, Boise

Charged: Grand Theft (F)

Boise Police arrested Turcato Wednesday, June 25 after connecting him with the use of credit cards reported lost or stolen in early May. Officers found the credit cards were used just hours after a man reported his wallet missing to police. The man told officers he thought he left his wallet at a local business where Turcato was an employee. Tips to Crime Stoppers also assisted detectives with the investigation after images of persons of interest were released June 4. The arrest of Quentin P. Geesey, 30, of Boise earlier this week is also connected to this case. Turcato is accused of stealing the card and giving it to an associate, Geesey who is accused of using the stolen credit card.

Officers want citizens to know, tips to Crime Stoppers are followed and do make a difference in many investigations. Arrested: Antonio C. Gonzalez, 49, Marsing

Charged:  Aggravated Battery (F)

Boise Police responded to a report of a battery that had just occurred in an alley on the 500 block of South Americana Blvd Wednesday night, June 25 at 10:45 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the victim, an adult male, with injuries to his head and face. Further investigation found the victim had been hit in the head several times with a large stick. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital fo treatment. It doesn’t appear the victim and suspect are known to each other, but did reportedly have a verbal argument in the alley several minutes prior to the attack. A witness to the attack was able to give officers a description of the suspect and the direction he was last seen walking, which assisted officers in quickly locating the suspect. Officers placed the suspect under arrest on the above charge.


Arrested: Sierra Lynn Marie Jenkins, 20 Boise

Charged: Burglary (F), Grand Theft – 3 counts (F), Petit Theft (m), Theft by possession (m)

In early April, Boise Police received a report that several items had been stolen from an East Boise Home. Later in April, Boise Police received another report involving a stolen credit card. Officers investigations identified Jenkins as a suspect.  The victims and the suspect are known to each other. Officers reports were routed to Ada County Prosecutors for review and warrants were issued for the suspects arrest. Officers located the suspect Wednesday evening, June 25 at a home on the Boise bench. She was booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.
