Three car collision ends in felony DUI arrest; Daily incident report

    Arrested: Bradley D. Kenyon, 50, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (Aggravated DUI)(F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a three vehicle collision at the intersection of West Emerald Street and North Roosevelt Street last night, October 31st, at approximately 7:20 p.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect was travelling westbound on West Emerald Street when he rear-ended a vehicle that had begun to enter the intersection on a green light, that vehicle then struck a second vehicle in front of it. The driver of the vehicle the suspect hit was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries at the time. Officers noticed the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on the suspect's person and he appeared to be very intoxicated at the time. A blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. The victim driver received injuries during the collision, making the DUI charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 80 MOTOR VEHICLES 18-8006. Aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other intoxicating substances. (1) Any person causing great bodily harm, permanent disability or permanent disfigurement to any person other than himself in committing a violation of the provisions of section 18-8004(1)(a) or (1)(c), Idaho Code, is guilty of a felony
