UPDATE: The cyclist involved in a collision on Federal Way yesterday has died of his injuries; collision remains under investigation.

UPDATE: Boise, Oct. 8, 8:35 a.m. - Boise Police have learned that the cyclist hit on Federal Way yesterday afternoon, a 56 year old man from Boise. has died of his injuries.  

The driver of the vehicle involved, is a man also from Boise.

At this time the collision remains under investigation.

Additional information on the cyclist will be released by the Ada County Coroner.



Officers are on the scene of a serious vehicle vs bicycle collision at Federal Way and Broadway

Boise October 7th, 2013 - Boise Police crash reconstruction experts are on scene of a vehicle vs bicycle crash that occurred at 1:28 this afternoon on Federal Way at the Broadway off ramp.

What Happened: A 4-door sport utility vehicle collided with an adult male bicycle rider in the intersection as the vehicle attempted to turn east onto Federal Way from the off ramp. The bicycle had a trailer on the back of it that contained what appeared to be grocery items. The victim appears to have life threatening injuries. 

The investigation into the crash is taking place. Additional information will be released as available.

Traffic Impact: Traffic on eastbound Federal Way is closed at the Broadway ramp. Motorists are asked to avoid the area for the next couple hours while the investigation is underway.
