Update: Incident on the HP Campus

Officers have cleared the location, Investigation continues

Boise, Sept. 26, 2013, 6:15 p.m. – Boise Police are continuing to investigate who may be responsible for a note found in a building on the HP campus this afternoon that prompted evacuatation of the building as a safety precaution. The building involved is the furthest west on the HP campus but is NOT part of HP and does not house HP employees. Information given to Boise Police is the building is leased to another tenant – a call center.

At no time did police activity extend beyond the one, far western building.

Officers were able to quickly isolate the scene and confirm no threat to public safety. The building has been returned to management. How building management is proceeding with allowing employees back into the building is not known . This affected a private business with their own security protocols. At one point, officers estimate approximately 500 employees were evacuated from the building.

Boise Police are investigating who may be responsible for the note, which made vague references to the possibility of violence.
