Disturbance at an apartment leads officers to restaurant burglary suspect; BPD Daily Incident Report

Arrested: Cassidy S. Mylander, 21, Boise

Charged: Burglary (F)

Boise Police were called to an apartment residence just east of Ann Morrison Park shortly after 6:00 this morning for a disturbance. When officers arrived, they found evidence the suspect, Mylander had broken a door window in an attempt to get inside the residence. The suspect was still on scene and taken into custody by officers. Also while on scene, officers found several items including professional grade knives and other kitchen equipment, raw meat and liquor bottles topped with dispense nozzles commonly found at a bar. Officers continued to investigate and found the suspect had recently been employed at a local restaurant. Officers went to the restaurant, which was closed, and found evidence someone had very recently broken a window to force entry. The kitchen and bar area of the restaurant appeared ransacked. Officers contacted business employees who identified several items missing as those found at the scene of the attempted apartment break-in. The suspect was arrested on the above charge and booked into the Ada County Jail.
