Arrest for Selling Meth & Marijuana; BPD Daily Incident Report

Arrested: Rick Lee Brower, 51, Boise

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (F)

Boise Police were called to a residence on South Federal Way just south of West Overland Road Monday night at approximately 10:30 p.m. to investigate a report of an injury to a child. While making contact with people at the residence, officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana. Officers obtained a search warrant for the residence at 1901 S. Federal Way. During the search, officers located numerous items of drug paraphernalia and controlled substances including substances that field tested positive for marijuana and methamphetamine. Further investigation led officers to evidence that the suspect Brower was selling marijuana and meth from the residence. Late Tuesday morning, Brower was arrested on the above charges and booked into the Ada County Jail. Two other people located at the residence were cited for Frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold.

This investigation is ongoing and the activity at the home is connected to the investigation involving suspect Oscar Alcaraz (see the BPD News Release issued August 20, 2013).
