Rape and attempted murder arrest

   Arrested: Ryan W. Kanady, 32, Boise

   Charges: Rape (F), Attempted Murder (F), Resisting and Obstructing (M)

   Boise Police responded to a call of a rape that had just occurred at a Boise Bench home this morning, July 12th, at approximately 8:00 a.m. Officers who arrived on scene located the suspect in the back yard of the residence and he was taken into custody. 

   What happened: Boise Police responded to a call from the victim who tells detectives the incident began in the early hours this morning. The adult female, who is well known to the suspect, tells police the man raped her in the home. During the ordeal, the victim tells police the suspect placed a pillow over her face suffocating her. The victim tells Boise Police Detectives she lost consciousness during the attack. The victim eventually regained consciousness and managed to lock herself in a bathroom before calling 911. 

   When officers arrived they located the suspect in the back yard of the residence. The suspect refused to obey officer's commands and forced police to forcibly take him into custody.
