Arrest for Second Felony DUI, Leaving a restaurant without paying results in burglary charge; BPD Daily Incident Report

Arrested: Steven E. Allen, 50, Boise

Charged: DUI (F), Driving without privileges (m)

A Boise Police officer on patrol last night, Monday, July 8th shortly after 9:00 p.m. witnessed a vehicle make a wide right turn onto West State Street from N. 31st Street. The officer then witnessed the vehicle failing to maintain its lane and drive across the center lane divider. Officers stopped the vehicle and found the driver, identified as Allen, showing signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication. The driver failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI. A blood sample was taken at the Ada County Jail for further evidence testing. Officers found this to be the suspect's second felony DUI arrest with a conviction in a felony DUI in November, 2005. Officers also found the suspect was operating the vehicle while driving privileges were suspended. 


Arrested: Dee F. Daley, 56, Henderson, NV

Charged: Burglary (F)

Boise Police were called by employees of a restaurant near S. Capitol Blvd and Grove Street last night at 10:41. The employees gave officers a description of a man who had just left the restaurant without paying for his meal. The witnesses were also able to provide officers with the direction the man was last seen walking. Officers soon found the man, who appeared intoxicated. Officers found evidence the man had entered the restaurant with the intent to leave without paying making the charge felony burglary. Officers arrested and booked the suspect into the Ada County Jail.


Arrested: Stanley E. Ritchie, 58, Boise

Charged: Aggravated Assault (F)

Boise Police were called Monday morning, July 8th at 8:24 by a man reporting that the suspect had just pulled a knife on him during a discussion about a property dispute in a neighborhood near W. Ustick Road and N. Maple Grove Road. The victim told officers he felt threatened and feared for his safety. Officers were able to locate the suspect at a residence nearby. He was arrested on the above charge and booked into the Ada County Jail.
