Theft at a retail store leads to Felony Burglary charge; Daily incident report

   Arrested: William A. Anderson, 30, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 3000 block of South Federal Way yesterday, June 11th, at approximately 11:00 a.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal several knives and other items, then leave the store without paying for them. Officers located the suspect as he crossed the street and recovered the items. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   The Boise Police Department has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the program is to work with retailers and the Boise business community to reduce retail theft and fraud, crimes that have significant impacts on consumer prices.
