Sad Story: Boy Drowns in Apartment Complex Pool

UPDATE: The Ada County Coroner has identified the child as Muhamed Hassan, 6. At this time, the death is believed accidental.


Boise, June 12, 2013, 9:32 pm - Sadly, the child found in the pool earlier this evening has died. 

 The child was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival at the hospital. The child is a little boy, age 6.

 He was found in the pool at the apartment complex on the 5100 block of W. Stoker Lane at about 6:30 this evening.

 The child's name will be released by the Ada County Coroner. Boise police are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the child's death.


Initial Release: 

  Boise, June 12, 2013, 7:25 pm - Boise Fire, Ada County EMS and Boise Police responded to a call of a possible drowning victim his evening shortly after 6:30 pm in a pool on Stoker Lane. 

  When emergency responders arrived, CPR was in progress. The victim is a child approx 5 years old. 

  The child was immediately transported to a nearby hospital. 

  At this time the child's condition is unknown. 

  Officers are still on scene and at the hospital investigating.
