Traffic Stop leads to Grand Theft, Felony Drug Charges; BPD Daily Incident Report

Arrested: Jack D. Clayton, 59, Boise

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance - Meth (F), Grand Theft (F), Probation Violation (F), Possession of marijuana (m), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m), Driving without privileges (m)

A Boise Police officer on patrol last night just before midnight stopped a vehicle for failing to properly use the turn signal when entering the turn lane at S. Roosevelt St and W. Overland Rd. After contacting and identifying the driver as Clayton, the officer found he was driving with a suspended license and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest due to a probation violation. Clayton was arrested on these charges. In a search following his arrest, officers found the suspect to be carrying a credit card belonging to someone else and believed to be stolen. He was also carrying a baggie containing a substance believed to be marijuana. A certified  Boise Police drug detection dog, Turk alerted to Clayton's vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and found a baggie with a white substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine as well as a another baggie containing marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia. Officers booked the suspect into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.


Arrested: Natalie D. Gunter, 30, Boise

Charged: Aggravated Assault (F), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m)

Boise Police were called to a home near S. 15th and W. Myrtle Streets last night at 11:36 p.m. responding to a reported physical altercation. When officers arrived, they found evidence the suspect had threatened another adult with a knife, causing the victim to be fearful for their safety. Officers also found the suspect in possession of a device commonly used for smoking illegal drugs. The victim and suspect are known to each other. The suspect was arrested on the above charhes and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance - Meth (F) , Agents Warrant (F)

Boise Police were called by Probation and Parole agents last night  to assist with a search of a residence on the 1600 block of S. Federal Way. The suspect lives at the home and was on felony probation. As agents entered the home, they saw the suspect appear to hide something. Officers searched and found the suspect in possession of a crystaline substance in a small plastic baggie. The substance was identified as methamphetamine. The suspect was arrested on the above charhes and booked into the Ada County Jail.
