Meth & Illegal Possession of Prescription Pain Meds; Felony DUI; BPD Daily Incident Report

Arrested: Robert Thomas Black, 30, Boise

Charged: DUI (F)

A Boise Police officer on patrol at 2:53 this morning witnessed  the driver of a pick-up truck fail to stop at the intersection of S. Beacon St. and W. Leadville Ave. instead stopping with the vehicle into the intersection. Officers stopped the truck and found the driver, identified as Black who showed signs of being very intoxicated. Officers conducted several field sobriety tests which the driver failed. A records check found the driver had two previous DUI's, from 2007 and 2009, making this arrest a felony. Arrested: Tracy A. Sanchez, 43, Yellowpine, ID

Charged: Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic (F), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m) 

A Boise Police officer on patrol observed the driver of an SUV fail to stop at the intersection of S. Vermont Ave and Belmont St this morning shortly after midnight. Officers spoke with the driver and found he was on parole with a 4th Amendment waiver. The driver's parole officer requested Boise Police do a search of the vehicle for a compliance check. A Boise Police certified drug detection K9 alerted to the vehicle indicating the likely presence of drugs. In the passenger area, officers found a glass pipe and hypodermic needle with suspected meth residue. Officers also found a baggie with a total package weight of 4 grams containing a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Officers found it was the passenger of the vehicle, Sanchez who was in possession of these items. Officers arrested Sanchez on the above charges and booked her into the Ada County Jail. 


Arrested: Robert Kent White, 51, Boise

Charged: Controlled Substance Violation 3 counts (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (F), Delivery of a Controlled Substance (F)

Boise Police arrested the suspect yesterday after an ongoing investigation involving the illegal possession and sale of prescription painkillers, a controlled narcotic. In a search warrant of the suspect's Boise home yesterday afternoon, officers with the Boise Police BANDIT Task Force  found evidence the suspect had illegally obtained and was in possession of prescription narcotics. During the course of the investigation, officers also obtained evidence the suspect has sold the prescription meds. This investigation is continuing. Additional charges are possible.
