Spring weekend alcohol compliance checks

Boise Police conducted a spring alcohol compliance check at local establishments on Friday, March 29th, across the city of Boise. With spring in the air and many minors out of school officers want to keep alcohol safety and awareness a top priority for young people and adults. Boise Police compliance checks included two 17 year old minors who assisted in the effort. 43 establishments were checked and 6 failed to comply with regulations by selling alcohol to a minors.  Five of the six establishments that failed are establishments that allow alcohol to be consumed on the premises. In one case, the bartender sold alcohol to both 17 year old minors. At other locations the clerks failed to ask the minors for identification and then sold them alcohol.

The establishments who provided alcohol to the minors were:

Parilla Grill in Hyde Park

Gil’s K-9 Bar on Main Street

The Drink  Restaurant on State Street

Pacific Rim Wine Shop on State Street

Idaho State Liquor Store on State Street / Glenwood

Chapala’s Restaurant Vista/Kootenai
