Making Bomb Threat is a Felony - Threat to School Under Investigation

Boise, April 11, 2013 - Boise Police are investigating a bomb threat made to Boise High School today. Students and staff were safely evacuated and the school's response went very smoothly, according to officers on scene. BPD Explosives detection dogs assisted officers with investigating at the school. No device was found and school operations resumed shortly before 1:00 p.m.

Boise Police want citizens to know making bomb threats is a felony, chargable to juveniles or adults, punishable by up to five years incarceration. These threats are taken seriously and investigated thoroughly. 

Call Crime Stoppers: Anyone with knowledge of who is responsible for making a bomb threat is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS Tips can also be made at, or text CRIMES or 274637, subject: Tip236. A citizen can remain anonymous. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered by Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest of criminal suspects.
