Drug charges and Battery on an Officer; Daily incident report

Arrested: Kristine A. Shatto, 18, Boise

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Marijuana/Mushrooms)(F), Providing False Information (m)

Boise Police contacted the suspect at a residence on the 3500 block of West Chinden on March 11th of this year, as part of a search for wanted subjects. On that date, officers discovered marijuana and mushrooms in plain sight inside the residence. Officers also located digital scales and obtained evidence that indicates the suspect had intended to sell the illegal substances. At the time, the suspect provided false identifying information to officers, who routed the information for a warrant. Officers later determined the suspect had lied to police and located the suspect yesterday, April 3rd, at a residence on the 2800 block of Bannock Street. After a detailed investigation the suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

Warrant Arrested: Sylvia E. Mason, 39, Boise

   Warrant Charges: Grand Theft (F)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft yesterday.

The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a ring that had been stolen from a business on the 500 block of West Park Center in September of last year. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in the theft of the ring from a fellow employee. Officers recovered the stolen ring, valued at more than $1,000.00. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

Arrested: Leroy H. Whitehawk, 34, Boise

Charges: Assault and Battery on an Officer (F), Petit Theft (m), Possession of an Open Container (m), Resisting and Obstructing (m)

Boise Police responded to a report of a theft that had just occurred at a convenience store on the 3400 block of West State Street last night, April 3rd, at approximately 8:30 p.m. Employees tell police they discovered the suspect in the beer cooler selecting cans of beer when they confronted him. According to the employee the suspect grabbed two cans of beer and fled the store without paying for the merchandise. Employees called police and the suspect was located a short time later a couple blocks away drinking the beer. The suspect refused to cooperate with officers commands. At one point the suspect kicked officers and attempted to head butt them. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
