Arrests in stolen credit cards & Identity theft; BPD Daily Incident Report

Arrested: Kristy K. Olmstead, 34, Boise

Charged: Grand Theft -2 counts (F), Fraudulent Possession of a Financial transaction Card (D), Fugutive to Idaho (F)

Boise Police received a report April 5, 2013 stating that the alleged victim's identity had been stolen and used to fraudulently obtain credit cards. Detectives from the Boise Police financial crimes unit investigated and found evidence the suspect, who is known to the victim had unlawfully taken the victim's property without permission and obtained personal identifying information which was used to obtain credit services with multiple companies. While investigating, officers also found the suspect had an outstanding felony warrant from the State of Washington. The suspect was located by Boise Police and arrested on the charges last night.

Arrested: Scott A. Moreno, 33, Boise


Charged: Grand Theft (F), Fraudulent use of a fananicial transaction card (F)


Boise Police received a report April 5, 2013 from the alleged victim that their debit card had been taken and used without permission. The card was reportedly used twice to withdraw money. Boise Police patrol officers and financial crimes detectives were able to work together to identify the suspect, who is known to the victim. The suspect was located by officers and booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges early this morning.
