Crash leads to Felony DUI arrest; Weekend incident report

    Arrested: Timothy J. Gorman, 31, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Probation Violation Charges (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Spice)(m), Possession of Drug paraphernalia (m)

   Boise Police responded to a single vehicle crash on the 12000 block of West Fairview Avenue Saturday, March 2nd, at approximately 7:00 p.m. The single pickup truck had struck a fence and come to a stop. As officers made contact with the driver, who appeared to be unconscious behind the wheel as officers approached. When they opened the door a pipe containing spice fell out of the truck and onto the ground. The suspect, who appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.


   Warrant Arrested: Angela R. Rupe, 36, Boise

   Warrant Charges: Forgery (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Forgery early this morning.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a fake bill used to purchase merchandise on August 4th of last year. Evidence indicates the suspect used the forged note to obtain items in Boise. The investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant. Further inquiries into this case should be directed to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
