Search warrant leads to Felony drug charge; Daily incident report

  Arrested: Carrie C. Voss, 42, Boise

   Charges: Possession of a Controlled substance (Meth)(F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

  Arrested: Joey A. Thomas, 34, Boise

   Charges: Possession of a Controlled substance (Marijuana)(m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m), Driving Without Privileges (m), Trespassing (m), Providing False Information (m)

   Boise Police Neighborhood Contact Officers, working with information provided by citizen tips, served a search warrant yesterday, February 27th, at  approximately 6:00 a.m. at a residence on the 2500 block of South Barrington Lane. Officers recovered numerous items of drug paraphernalia including syringes, pipes and packaging materials with meth and marijuana residue. As the investigation took place Joey Thomas arrived at the home driving a vehicle. Officers determined Thomas was currently suspended from driving and had been previously trespassed from the property. Officers recovered a prescription pill, a pipe and marijuana seeds belonging to Thomas. During the course of the investigation Thomas provided false information to police. The suspects were booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Warrant Charged: Robert E. Borgen, 27, Meridian

   Warrant Charges: Assault (F)

     The suspect, who has was already in custody at the Idaho Department of Corrections facility, was transferred to Ada County to face a felony charge for Assault yesterday.

    The charge stems from an ongoing investigation into an incident that took place on October 22nd of last year at a residence near Overland and Curtis. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in a dispute with the victim when he displayed a handgun in a threatening manner. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony charge. Further inquiries into this warrant should be directed to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. 


   Arrested: Zachary R. Watkins, 24, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a vehicle burglary in a parking lot on the 100 block of South Cole Road yesterday, February 27th, at approximately 1:00 p.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect was seen going through the victim's vehicle in the parking lot before driving away. The victim was able to provide information that led officers to the suspect at a Boise residence and a stolen music device was recovered. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
