Arrested: Kenneth F. Nunes, 30, Caldwell

Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Driving without Privileges (m), Operating a vehicle without the owner's consent (m)

Boise Police observed a vehicle driving without headlights at Five Mile and Ustick last night, January 24th, at approximately 11:36 p.m. Officers stopped the driver near that intersection. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .22/.22 at the Ada County Jail. During the course of the investigation, officers determined the suspect had taken the vehicle without the owners consent, from a convenience store moments before the traffic stop. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

Warrant Arrested: Tanya N. Brandner, 39, Boise

   Warrant Charges:  Burglary (F)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Burglary yesterday.

The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the theft of goods from a grocery store on the 4700 block of North Eagle Road starting in June of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect entered the store on three occasions, selected merchandise and then left without paying. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
