"Queen for a Day" event!

On Wednesday December 12th, women whose lives have been touched by crime will take part in the annual "Queen for a Day" event, receiving full makeovers with haircuts and manicures. These ladies, whose lives have been touched by crime, will enjoy a day of pampering as they become "Queen for a Day", thanks to talented students at a local cosmetology school. This is the 5th year this event has helped ladies who have suffered loss or hardship make a spiritual and mental recovery through compassion!

Where: The event will again take place at the D' Shaw school of Cosmology at Cole and Ustick

    When: From 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday December 12th

Most of the women receiving the makeovers have worked with the, Boise City Victim - Witness unit. The women were asked to be part of the program by the law enforcement victim-witness advocates.

The annual event is the brain child of students and staff at the school as they considered ways they could use their talents to help those who could use a lift in spirit this time of year.
