Overnight DUI and drug possession arrests; Daily incident report

Arrested: Kathryn E. Cox, 24, Boise

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

Boise Police responded to a report of a fight at a residence on the 2600 block of South Gourley Street last night, October 9th, at approximately 6:30 p.m. As officers conducted that investigation they received consent to enter the suspect's room and observed multiple syringes and other items of drug paraphernalia in plain sight. Officers recovered a pipe containing a small amount of Meth. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

Arrested: Timothy T. Russell, 38, Boise

Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

Boise Police observed a vehicle fail to properly yield to a stop light at 36th and West State Street yesterday, October 9th, at approximately 5:30 p.m. Officers who contacted the driver noted an open container of alcohol in the front seat of the vehicle. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .25/.25 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Ada County Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI, making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

Arrested: Steven R. Morgan, 36, Boise

Warrant Charges:  Burglary (F), Probation Violation (m), Failure to Appear (m)

Visual Charges: Resisting and Obstructing (m)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Burglary and two misdemeanor warrants yesterday.

The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into items stolen from the victim's home in January of this year.  Evidence indicates the suspect, who is known to the victim, had taken electronic items from the home without permission. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

Yesterday, October 9th, Boise Police responded to a citizens report of a wanted subject at a residence on the 12000 block of West Edna. Officers confirmed the suspect had multiple warrants for his arrest including a felony warrant for burglary. As officers made contact with the residents the suspect attempted to hide inside the home. Officers located the suspect hiding in the garage. The suspect physically resisted arrest by struggling with officers. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
