Officer Arrest Woman Accused of Stealing 25 Guns

Boise, Sept. 10, 2012 - Boise Police property crimes detectives arrested a woman this afternoon  accused of stealing 25 guns valued at more than $20,000. Detectives say the case came together with cooperation from the victim and local pawn shops.

Arrested: Breana C. Chadwell, 22, Boise

Charged: Grand Theft (F) 25 counts, Burglary (F) 5 counts

What Happened: Boise Police were contacted by the victim last Friday, September 7, 2012. The suspect and the victim are acquainted. The guns were reportedly taken from the victims Boise home.

The victim was able to provide officers with a detailed list of the firearms that were missing.

Very quickly, detectives realized one of the guns reported stolen had been called in by an employee of a local pawn shop last week as being a suspicious sale. Officers were able to track and recover all the stolen firearms that the suspect had apparently pawned following the theft.
