Attempted strong armed robbery at 11th and Thatcher

   Boise Police received a report of an attempted robbery that took place in an alley this morning near 11th Street and Thatcher at approximately 8:38, a.m. 

  The victim tells police an adult male attempted to grab her purse from her person as she was walking down an alley. The victim tells police she punched the suspect, who ran away without her purse. The victim then called 911. The victim injured her hand when she struck the suspect and paramedics responded to her location for medical treatment. 

  The suspect is described as a light skinned adult male, approximately 50 years old, very short hair, had  large gotee mustache and beard around the mouth. The suspect was wearing a black zip up jacket and blue jeans. The victim says the suspect smelled strongly of alcohol at the time of the incident.
