UPDATE: Boise Police Request Crime Stoppers Callers to Call Back regarding Recent Homicide

   Boise, Aug. 3, 2012 - Boise Police have received several tips via Crime Stoppers regarding the homicide that occurred on July 23, 2012 at a home on Randolph Drive. The victim was identified as Phyllis Ward, 74, the long-time resident of the home. Mrs. Ward's is believed to have died as a result of blunt force trauma. The investigation revealed she died prior to a fire that started in her home. Her body was found by firefighters.
   Officers say information received in several Crime Stoppers tips is of considerable interest. Some tips came in anonymously. Officers are asking those citizens to call back so detectives can speak with them directly at 570-6290 .
   "We would really appreciate whoever has that info to call us back so we can talk directly with them and ask a couple more questions. Finding who's responsible for Mrs. Ward's death is absolutely our highest priority." said Sgt. Mark Barnett of the Boise Police Violent Crimes Unit.  
   Again, officers are asking anyone who called into Crime Stoppers with a tip on this case to call back and speak directly with detectives at 570-6290 .
