Robbery of Tobacco Store Under Investigation

Boise, August 21, 2012 - Boise Police are investigating the robbery of a tobacco store this morning on the 3100 block of W. Overland Road.

What Happened: Officers were called to the store at 9:02 a.m. When they arrived, witnesses reported two men had walked into the store, displayed a handgun and restrained the clerk. They left with an undisclosed amount of cash and items from the store. A customer came into the store a short time later, helped free the clerk and called 911. 

Suspect descriptions: The suspects are described as two light skinned males. Both wore hoodies.

Due to the ongoing investigation, no further information is available for release at this time.
