Officers from around the valley work together to keep fair goers safe!

   On Friday August 24th members of the Treasure Valley DUI Task Force, including Boise Police, Garden City Police, Nampa
Police and Idaho State Police conducted directed patrols looking for DUI drivers and other violations around the Fairgrounds. 


Officers made over 150 contacts that resulted in 12 misdemeanor and DUI Arrests and two minor consumption tickets.

"This kind of interagency cooperation allows our departments to focus on key areas when the need arises. Using extra manpower to target areas of concern can often deter dangerous behavior and keep our streets safer." Says officer Larry Moore of the Boise Police DUI Enforcement Team.  possession of alcohol citations. Officers also made one arrest for possession of drugs. 

More than 15 officers from the various agencies took part in the effort.
