Disturbance at medical facility leads to Felony warrant; Daily incident report

Warrant Arrested: Lee S. Yates, 42, Boise

Warrant Charges: Battery on an Officer (F)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Battery on an Officer early this morning.

The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into an incident that took place on May 25th of this year. On that date, officers responded to a local hospital on a report of a violent patient who had been threatening staff. During the course of the investigation the suspect became violent with officers, attempting to strike them, pulling off an officers glasses and attempting to scratch his face and eyes. Evidence indicates the suspect was fully aware that the persons he was assaulting were police officers. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
