Traffic stop with "Turk" ends in Felony arrest; Daily Incident Report

    Arrested: Saysana Chongphaisane, 30, Boise

    Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m) Failure to Purchase a Drivers License (m)

    Boise Police on patrol near Curtis and Cassia observed a vehicle speeding and failing to maintain its lane late Monday night, Just before midnight, May 7th, at approximately 11:45 p.m. As officers contacted the driver Ada County Dispatch confirmed he had an invalid drivers license. During the contact a Boise Police K-9 named "Turk" alerted on the vehicle, indicating the likely presence of drugs. A search of the vehicle revealed a glass pipe with approximately 1 gram of Meth and a marijuana cigarette. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
