Boise Police on patrol near Ustick and Cole Road Friday evening, March 23rd, at approximately 11:00 p.m. observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed going Eastbound on Ustick. Officers activated emergency lights and attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver failed to yield to officers and made several turns as the vehicle sped through a residential area. The vehicle eventually yielded to officers on the 2700 block of Redway. Officers determined the vehicle was occupied by several juvenile suspects and one adult, later identified as Chriistian Arata. In the vehicle officers located a cellophane wrapper containing two prescription narcotic pills. Through the course of the investigation officers determined the pills belonged to Christian Arata, who did not have a valid prescription for the drugs. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges. Three juveniles, including the driver of the vehicle, were issued misdemeanor citations for minor consumption of alcohol, reckless driving and eluding police before being released to the custody of legal guardians.
